I have been a Parent Governor at Woodlawn School since May 2023 after my daughter Isabella joined the school in October 2022. I knew instantly that Woodlawn was a special place, which is run by special people. Every day I drop Isabella off I am happy knowing that she loves school and loves Woodlawn!

 

In terms of my educational background I have been a secondary school teacher for 17 years in various roles including Head of PE and Psychology. Currently I teach Maths at Churchill Community College in Wallsend. I also tutor students from my previous school online in preparation for their  GCSE and A level examinations.

 

My family consists of Kerry- my wife, Isabella and Charlie my 21 year old step son. Family means everything to me and we spend our time travelling, watching Charlies football and activities that meet Isabella’s needs. Personally I enjoy fishing, watching sport and running. I also enjoy volunteering at upper site on a Friday where I spend time with some incredible students and teachers in year 12.
